Individual Therapy
Therapy is not about “fixing” yourself.
It is about helping you understand yourself more fully and providing support as you move toward the life you want to create.
Understanding yourself changes everything.
Therapy can help you identify patterns that may be contributing to emotional distress, relationship challenges, or feeling stuck. Through increased self-awareness and practical skill development, many clients experience greater confidence, emotional balance, and clarity in their decision-making.
-
At Find True North Therapy, we believe therapy should be individualized to meet your unique needs, experiences, and goals. There is no one-size-fits-all approach.
Our therapists utilize evidence-based treatment approaches that may include EMDR, ACT, DBT, and SE to help you understand yourself and meet your unique goals.
-
EMDR is a highly effective treatment for trauma, PTSD, and distressing life experiences. It helps the brain process experiences that may continue to impact emotional well-being, relationships, and daily functioning.
-
ACT helps individuals develop greater psychological flexibility, learn to respond differently to difficult thoughts and emotions, and build a life guided by personal values rather than fear or avoidance.
-
CBT helps identify patterns of thinking and behavior that contribute to emotional distress. Clients learn practical tools to challenge unhelpful patterns and create healthier ways of responding.
-
SE is a body-centered approach that helps individuals heal from trauma, chronic stress, and overwhelming life experiences. By increasing awareness of physical sensations and nervous system responses, clients learn to release stored stress, improve emotional regulation, and develop a greater sense of safety, balance, and resilience.
You can expect to feel empowered.
Your therapist is not there to tell you what to do or make decisions for you. Instead, you and your therapist will work toward goals that are meaningful to you at a pace you feel comfortable with. Many clients report increased self-awareness, improved relationships, greater emotional balance, and a stronger sense of confidence as they move through the therapeutic process.
